Martin’s Blog 19th January

Yesterday Viking Mistress ran a blinder back over hurdles.  She travelled and jumped really well and was only beaten by the favourite so a great run.  The Martin Keighley Racing Club have now had 9 runners resulting in winning a Charity race, 3 2nds, 3 3rds, a 4th and sadly a faller but she was ok and was booked for 2nd.  They have had so much fun.  Just a few places remain – get in touch and join in the fun!  Surely both are due a win shortly!

Jazzy didn’t win as the ground rode soft enough and he would have been unsuited by it.  A long way to go to not run but always the right decision if there is doubt in our minds.  Both horses are well today.

We schooled a few this morning – Johnny Og, The Wexfordian, Altesse De Guye, Solstice Star and Ballymountain Boy.  Champion Court schooled over hurdles with Kieran and over fences with Ashley.  He’s earning his keep! Andrew Tinkler was in for two lots.

2nd lot we took Ocean Eleven and Any Currency to Jon Trice-Rolph’s.  Both jumped very well indeed. Any Currency loved it as did his pilot Issy and Ocean Eleven really impressed us all too.  His jumping improves every time and he was very slick and quick today.
