Solstice Star WINS at Chepstow!

The whole team were absolutely thrilled to see Solstice Star back in the number one spot yesterday at Chepstow under an inspired ride from Richard Johnson. He really did show why he is the Champion Jockey – he rides courses so well and we agreed that as there didn’t seem to be much pace that he would go on as Solstice loves to make the running. That he duly did and caught the rest napping on a few occasions whilst Solstice loved it out in front and jumped for fun and battled bravely after the last when a rival did eventually nearly get to him. He is A1 this morning.

He was running in the very recognisable and successful colours of Foxtrot Racing for the first time as Dan Abraham and his Foxtrot Racing Club have leased him from Richard East and James Gibbs and it was a perfect start for them. The whole team have worked hard on him especially my Assistant Foxy and his work rider Kieran, who also looks after him, so we are delighted he has bounced back to form.

-6 first thing this morning so autumn is certainly here and winter is coming in fast! We need more rain though as we have quite a few ready to run who aren’t because they need softer ground.
