Snow, snow and an awesome team!

Big shout out to my team today as today was awful to ride out in and they grafted as usual despite it being one of the worst mornings ever to ride out in. It was even freezing cold from the ‘comfort’ of my buggy videoing them and Paul Davis arrived dressed as he would for a day’s ski-ing when we used to join him in Switzerland before he retired and he was cold too!

The horses, however, were well wrapped up and always love their work. We worked Debden Bank, Brorson, Talkischeap, Big Nasty, Back on the Lash, Breizh Alko, Duke Of Luckley and Witness Protection. All the rest just cantered.

Harry’s football at home in Northleach was abandoned, as was Freddie’s final Shetland Pony Grand National fixture before he heads to The London International Horse Show next month so we prepared ourselves for an afternoon in front of the fire watching the racing. However….a power cut soon put paid to that so an afternoon in front of the racing with Joe & Wendy McDonagh at The Coach & Horses in Longborough instead! Electric wasn’t due to be back on until 6am tomorrow….however we’d only just returned home and lit all our candles and re-stocked the log burner ….and the electricity returned!

Last night Belinda & I had a fabulous night at Da Luigi’s Bistro in Chipping Campden at a fundraiser raising money for Stamp Out Suicide, a charity close to our hearts. Delicious food, great company and awesome Andrew James singing accompanied by John Neild who is great too. Unbelievably our morning on the gallops with champagne and bacon sandwiches in the auction went for over £550!!! No pressure for the sandwiches Belinda!!! An incredible amount raised for an incredibly charity and a super fun time had by all of us.
