She Has Notions WINS at Worcester at 12-1!

We had our first winner at the newly revamped Worcester on Monday when She Has Notions broken his maiden tag in a race sponsored by our fabulous yard sponsor. He won the FBC Manby Bowdler Handicap Chase much to the delight of his owners who have had to be patient with him as he didn’t show us over hurdles what he shows us at home. However, chasing is obviously his game and, under a superbly confident ride from Sean Bowen, he jumped for fun and won by a convincing 2 1/2 lengths.

Unfortunately some of his partners couldn’t be there to watch with Colin & Sirkka Roberts and Paul & Lynne Quested out of the country but Andy Payne, Stu White and Eric Barford were there and, along with Stu’s wife Lisa and Andy’s two brothers Rob & Russ, he had plenty of support. Luke Harvey did a great job of interviewing Paul Davis and chatting to the rest of the team in the Winners’ Enclosure where Syndicate Manager Paul Davis mentioned there are still shares available in him – do get in touch if you want to be part of this fun and friendly syndicate. He will surely win more races over the summer. Well done to Sian & Polly who were in charge at Worcester whilst I’m away with the family.

Happy Owners at Worcester

The jubilant partners & friends then moved onto the Winner’s area to celebrate with champagne and watch a re-run of the race. Thanks to Worcester for looking after everyone so well and to Official Photographer Nigel Kirby who Paul has already been in touch with to sort out winning photos as a memento for all partners along with a memento from Worcester for all too.

She Has Notions was winning after a 150 day break and I’m sure he will come on for the run too as his coat isn’t quite where I want it to be either so there are exciting times ahead.

Enforcement from our Racing Club is entered on Friday and we have a couple of entries on Sunday & Monday.
