It’s always a relief to get off the mark for the new season quickly and Redbridge Rambler ensured we did just that last night in the first at Warwick showing a fantastic attitude to hold of his rivals. Under a good ride from Freddie he jumped for fun and had the field at it from half way down the back. I can’t admit to not thinking Freddie may have gone too soon but he knew what he had underneath him and galloped all the way to the line. Absolutely delighted for owner David Maughan who hasn’t had the best of luck recently and is a massive supporter of the yard. Having originally not been able to attend but allowing me to enter the race anyway, he literally moved heaven & earth to be there when we decided it was the most winnable race so we couldn’t have been happier that he was rewarded with such a good winner.
Apart from poor Another Day Out who fell when favourite at Huntingdon earlier in the week (thankfully both her and Sean were fine) we’ve not been out of the placings with our few runners this season and long may that continue.
No runners today as Redbridge doesn’t run at Ludlow so our next runner is Prairie Diamond tomorrow at Southwell.
Enjoy your Sunday.
