Miladygrace made it look relatively easy winning in good style at Market Rasen under a superb ride from Brian Hughes. She jumped for fun and ensured we are back in the Hot Trainers’ list in the Racing Post by winning by 4 1/4 lengths and give owners Julie & Richard Kinsey a second win from her this season and their son, William, another homebred winner. We were thrilled that she showed no ill-effects from her heavy fall at Warwick last time especially for Sian who rides her out and looks after her too. She’s now an 8 year old and she has struggled to keep weight on in the past but our regime seems to suit her and she seems to enjoy being turned out and that certainly helps her eat her feed and keeps her happy. There’s more fun to be had with her I’m sure.

Miss Antipova returned to the track yesterday for Alan and Anna Varey from Batsford Stud under James Best at Southwell after over 550 days off the track. Thanks to their care and the team here, it was great to see her run again and she will strip fitter and build on that next time.
Mary Fishwick was in this morning to watch the horses on the gallops especially the Racing Club horses and our new mare who is by Black Sam Bellamy. She has settled in well and we are really pleased with her. There are shares available in her – we are leasing her from her breeder so if you are interested in getting involved in a fun syndicate where you don’t have to pay extra for your share, you are only responsible for your monthly fee, in a lovely mare that we hope will make her debut, all being well, in the mares’ bumper at Cheltenham in April, do get in touch.
