Martin’s Boxing Day Blog

Hope you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas Day – we had a super afternoon with my parents and Jelly, Fern & Daisy O’Brien and we all did evening stables so that the Team had the afternoon off. In fact they worked so hard they had mucked the horses out, ridden out 1 lot, put all the horses’ supper, haylage and extra water out for us for the evening plus joined us for a glass of champagne in the office and off home before 9am – brilliant team work.

Thanks to my family and the O’Brien girls for all their help – no such thing as a free lunch! A wonderful day.

Everyone back in first thing this morning and one runner today at Huntingdon. Miss Antipova (Harry Stock) runs in the bumper for The Batsford Stud Racing Club. She needs to settle better than she has but she has ability so if she does switch off well she could run a big race. It’s her final run in a bumper before going jumping and I’d love her to run well.

A full day of fabulous racing in prospect.
