Martin’s Blog – Happy Valentines’ Day!

Happy Valentines’ Day to all you romantics out there! We are heading to Hereford with four runners (as long as the rain softened ground doesn’t get too soft). James Best partners both Wide to West and Mozzaro who it will be great to get back onto the track after 641 days off following a tendon injury. We then run Another Day Out and Redbridge Rambler who are both partnered by Sean Bowen who yesterday regained the lead in the Jump Jockey’s Championship.

We schooled a few this morning up the hurdles/fences including Shinji, Jubilee Girl, Massima Bella, Samtara, Reve, Bobbi’s Beauty whilst all of 3rd lot – Enforcement, Brianna Rose, Pacific, Duke of LUckley, Kauto Castillo, On My Command, Myfanwy’s Magic, Back on the Lash and Springs A Girl all went for a jump around our fun ride and loved it. Breizh Alko, Amberelli, Passing Glance Youngster, Telescope filly, Oneforthefairgreen, Continuance, Osterberg, Ballyvango worked up the carpet gallop.

On Monday Leigh & Sarah Powell were in to watch their horses on the gallops followed by lunch at the Broadway Hotel. It’s half term for the boys this week so Belinda took Freddie to Paul Nicholl’s yard yesterday to ride out 3 lots which he loved and Harry is busy playing football. He had a great game on Sunday where he scored 6 goals to help his team win 10-1 and regain the top of the league. He’s got two games this weekend so I’ll try to get to those if I can.

Good luck to all the team at Hereford today.
