Martin’s Blog 9th March

We are buzzing …. not long to go until The Festival and the sunshine this morning definitely helped too and everyone is in great form.

Paul & Geraldine Townend were up first lot and were joined by Richard East second lot to watch the horses on the gallops. Andrew Tinkler was in to ride out and we schooled Brillare Momento, Cup of Ambition and Lerichi Belle and they all pleased me. All three have entries over the next week.

Maggie Turner, our physio, spent the morning here checking up coming runners and the horses ahead of The Festival too. Farrier Nick Partridge and Equine Dentist Tom Siddall were also in so nearly a full house! Mark Caswell was here in his capacity as Pest Controller rather than riding out this morning although we’ve persuaded him to come and ride out on Saturday.

Plenty of spiking of grass gallops, mowing and general tidying up happening and last minute dashes to get suits from the Dry Cleaners too!

Do have a look at the rest of the website and sign up for our Martin Keighley TV Channel on YouTube and watch all the videos that are there. We will keep updating them on a nearly daily basis and hope you enjoy following what goes on at a busy racing yard.

If you are passing nearby on the way to Cheltenham and have time to spare then do get in touch and watch a Lot or two on the gallops before you go – drop us an email and we’ll sort it out. We may even have some champagne open….!
