Tonight Duke of Luckley runs at Uttoxeter’s evening meeting under Sean Bowen and seems in good form. He steps back up to 2 1/2 miles after a winning well over 2 miles at Southwell last month.
Earlier this week Lindsay Morgan was in to watch Windy Cove on the gallops and kindly brought us all bacon/sausage rolls which were much appreciated by the whole team. Nicki Clifford also called in with carrots for Windy Cove who seems well since her win at Warwick and will be out again shortly.
On Tuesday we met with Neil Lloyd and Shanice Breeze from FBC Manby Bowdler for one of our regular Yard Sponsor meetings to plan ahead and we have lots of exciting things planned! We are very fortunate to have such a great sponsor. A delicious lunch at The Fox at Broadwell followed and we are always well looked after by Ed and Dominique Simpson.
Mr Mafia had a really interesting meeting on Tuesday afternoon as Sue Bellamy and Angela from Newlands of Stow on the Wold had arranged with Belinda for a visit from The Maf to meet their residents. Belinda & Jasmin took Mafia and Paul Davis and myself asked to go along too and we all thoroughly enjoyed the visit and the residents looked to also have a wonderful time. He really is the most caring, kind and generous horse and loved the attention and carrots too! Click HERE for a video we have compiled of our visit and we hope to take him to meet them all regularly because we all gained so much from it.
Happy Birthday for yesterday to owner Jon Hughes who is very much looking forward to running his ‘horse of a lifetime’ El Caballo at Royal Ascot a week on Friday.
