What a great weekend for sport. With England winning the football and an absolutely gripping F1 (Harley, who was 4th in the Charity race on Friday was lucky enough to be at Silverstone for the weekend) and plenty of other sport too plus beautiful weather – a great weekend.
Too hot for the horses to be turned out in the day yesterday and I particularly like them to go out on a Sunday so we turned them all out overnight in their paddocks last night and with a gentle breeze it was cooler for them than being inside. They seemed chilled and relaxed when I wandered around them late evening.
Just one runner today at Worcester – Lord Condi in the bumper under Aidan Coleman who won on him last time. He has to try and defy a 7lbs penalty for that win but he’s in good form after a short holiday and I’d be disappointed if he didn’t go close.
