Martin’s Blog 9th December

Another bitterly cold day today and hat’s off to all my team who were in safely and on time as the side roads around here are lethal. Thank goodness for the sand walkways we installed earlier in the year and the Loop gallop next to the yard which we resurfaced with carpet this summer ensuring the horses and team can get safely to the gallops and back and the horses are able to be exercised well too. All smiles despite minus temperatures and a huge testament to the team spirit here.

A very quiet Saturday with no owners braving the bitterly cold temperatures and who would blame them. No runners either as we build up, weather permitting, to a busy week of runners next week culminating in Cheltenham next Friday and Saturday.

A wonderful day of racing today and afterwards an annual trip for me and the boys to get our Christmas Tree – we’ve have had it up weeks ago but Belinda’s only just given us the green light to do so!
