Ben Brain here 1st lot doing a couple of overground scopes – we are so fortunate that Ben is based 10 minutes from the yard.
One runner today and it’s our Veteran 13 year old Mr Mafia who is in a Conditional Jockeys 4 runner Veteran Chase at Huntingdon under Finn Lambert. He is in wicked form but will have to be on his A game to beat Ben Pauling’s Festival winner Le Breuil.
Peter Boggis’s gelding is a real favourite, not only in the yard but also in our house as from day 1 he was always Harry’s favourte but Belinda’s ridden him nearly every day for over two years but most recently Freddie has been gaining amazing experience on him jumping around our Fun Ride and also leading James Best and Sean Bowen over our hurdles. Freddie is very fortunate. Let’s hope Mafia gets into a rhythm, jumps for fun and enjoys himself today. Good luck Maf!
