Martin’s Blog 7th March

The excitement ahead of The Cheltenham Festival builds and I attended the one and only Cheltenham Preview Evening that I attend last night at The Fox at Oddington thanks to Lady Bamford. Fabulously hosted by Charlie Brookes, it’s always good fun, minimal talking and delicious food & drink!

We now head to The Festival with an additional runner. Back On The Lash and Found On are entered although are very much ground dependent. Today we purchased Escaria Ten from Tattersalls in an online auction and the plan is to take up his current entry in Cheltenham’s Cross Country Race next Wednesday. Exciting!

The majority of the team are now fully First Aid Trained after a second session today from Robbie Dee whose mother Chris took the first session a fortnight ago. We wanted as many of us trained as possible and therefore it was not going to work taking so many away for a full day session in one go so they kindly split it into two sessions. It’s so important that they all know what to do in an emergency as sadly we all know things can go wrong in a split second.

Last week’s Leicester winner, Bobbi’s Beauty is declared to go run there again tomorrow. Sean Bowen is in the saddle again and we hope she can follow up her impressive display last time.
