Martin’s Blog 7th February

Another busy morning and the horses seem in good form. Andrew Tinkler, Warren Marston and Conor Shoemark all in to ride out and the horses went for a lovely hack through the woods and a grass bank canter for a change before coming back to our grass gallops to work.

We worked Cup of Ambition, Ballymountain Boy, Jazzy, Ocean Eleven, Johnny Og, Solistice Star, Viking Mistress, Thady Quil, Whatalove, Leriche Belle, Dalton Glance, Ask Alice and Bobble Emerald. All the rest cantered.

Janne and David Bishop were in to watch Bobble Emerald and the Racing Club Horses Viking Mistress and Buckle Street. Always great to see them both and we had a good catch up.

BHA Yard Inspector Andy Streeter in to meet with us. We are so fortunate to have Andy as our Yard Inspector as he is so helpful and works with us all to ensure that all the standards required by the BHA are met and adhered to and nothing is too much trouble for him.

The rest of the morning was spent looking at youngsters with Andrew Tinkler – a star of the future amongst them?!

Sickness at home though as last week it was Freddie coming home from school early poorly and today it’s Harry. Some horrible bugs going around and neither are often ill luckily and Harry will hopefully bounce back by tomorrow.
