Martin’s Blog 7th December

Cold this morning and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to having sleepless nights ahead of Cheltenham’s weekend fixture as having missed the cross-country race with Back On The Lash due to firm ground in November I’d be very disappointed if we lost it this weekend due to the weather again but frost this time. Fingers crossed!

Leicester bound today with three runners and the first being the ultra consistent Dreamsundermyfeet who returns after a decent break. He’s been placed or won in each of his past 10 races including winning four of those and was part of our treble of trebles at Southwell in July 2021. He’s a big horse so will undoubtedly come on for the run but should be fit enough to run a big race for his Owners For Owners Syndicate. Sean Bowen rides all three horses.

Miladygrace returns after her superb win at Ludlow just under 2 weeks ago and seems in really good heart at home. Sean schooled her on Monday and she was breathtaking so we hope she can add to her tally again for the Kinsey Family.

David Maughan’s Spanish Present is our final runner of the day and after an impressive win at Worcester he was disappointing at Cheltenham last time where he was a well beaten favourite. He returned with a bone bruise which was very sore and whether that happened early enough in the race and was enough to stop he’ll we don’t know but he is working as well as he ever has and seems in very good form with himself so we are hopeful he’ll put that run behind him.

Good luck Team!
