Yesterday morning we worked lots of the horses including Debden Bank, Bella Ciao, Come On Me Babby, Ballyvango, Kazontherazz, Enforcement, Lantic Bay, Miladygrace, Witness Protection, Back On The Lash, Zestful, Shinji, Another Day Out, Herecomeshogan, Forecast, Pinnacle Peak, Myfanwy’s Magic, Genovese, Just A Deal and Miss Antipova. Most of the rest cantered.
Marcus Freer and Karen Salters were in to watch Back On The Lash work and I claimed Freddie, who rode him, to ride out – he’s usually at Dan Skelton’s on a Saturday – less driving for Belinda too! It was Marcus’s birthday yesterday so Happy Birthday Marcus!
Charlotte & Harry were in to watch the Black Sam Bellamy (soon to be named) mare on the gallops and I’m really pleased with how she is going. Just 2 shares left in her now (another sold yesterday!) so don’t miss out – I know a few were disappointed they missed out on a share in Zestful. Get in touch to find out more about her – she’s on lease so it’s a more cost effective way of joining a syndicate.
Earlier in the week Rich & Coot Lloyd, Paul Proctor and Caroline & Gerard Bailey all called in to watch the horses on the gallops and then we went onto The Kingham Plough for a very enjoyable lunch. I can highly recommend going there as the food was exceptional – and the company very entertaining!
Two runners today at Ffos Las. Foxtrot Racing’s Rolling Clouds (Sean Bowen) runs in the Novices’ Handicap Chase and I think we’ll see more than he showed last time where he slipped early on and seemed to lose his confidence a bit. He seems well at home and should hopefully go well today for his enthusiastic syndicate. Later in the card Matthew Baker’s Brianna Rose runs in the 2m 4f Handicap Hurdle and, although it’s a pretty competitive little race, she will hopefully build upon her solid return from injury last time. We’ve given her a good 4 weeks to get over that and she is pleasing me at home so should go well. Good luck to them both.
