An early start to Wetherby today with Witness Protection running at 11.52am. Sad that my parents, who live half an hour from Wetherby, won’t be there nor any of my relations who love to come and support us at their local track. One day soon let’s hope.
Foxtrot Racing’s Witness Protection was so impressive last time at Stratford winning as he liked after a long break with a leg injury under a great ride from James Best. James is at Aintree aiming to win the Becher Chase for the third year running on Walk in the Mill so good luck to him and we have Sean Quinlan to replace him on Witness and also on Big Nasty later on.
Big Nasty returns and hasn’t run since February this year where he wasn’t right as he bled He’s been given plenty of tlc with his owners, Will Kinsey, and has been back here for quite some time now and seems in great form. If he reproduced his fantastic Uttoxeter 2nd then he’d have a great chance but it will just be great to get him back on the course and go from there.
Let’s hope for another good day.
