We were thrilled with Ten Past Midnight yesterday at Uttoxeter who ran a blinder to finish 2nd under James Best. Obviously we all want winners, and it can be frustrating when two horses pull clear and your horse finishes 2nd, but it was a much improved performance from him and certainly gives us hope that there are races to be won with him.

Today we head to Stratford with Oliver Ryan’s Reve in a Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase over 2m 6f under Patrick Cowley who has schooled him at home. I pulled him out of a hurdle race two weeks ago at Worcester as it was later on in the day and the scortching sun had dried out the ground too much. We won’t have that problem today and hopefully he’ll bounce back to somewhere near his best form.

Well done to Neil Lloyd, MD at FBC Manby Bowdler, our Yard Sponsor, who ran the London Marathon yesterday in a very impressive time of 3:12:23. Awesome! Well done Neil.
Thanks to everyone who have kindly messaged us about the sad loss of our labrador George, we appreciate them all.
