Martin’s Blog 4th July

We worked a few this morning so Andrew Tinkler and Warren Marston were both in. We worked Enforcement, Miss Condi, Cut & Run, Ask Alice and Altesse De Guye.

John and Claire Abernethy were here 2nd lot to watch their filly Whatalove in action on the gallops and always great to see them.

The boys have sports day today so they are very excited about that. Belinda’s making her debut in the mum’s race (she promised the boys) although she should be a pretty long price and justifiably so! I’m thinking of my excuse to not run in the dad’s race!!

Two of our small team of staff here both have rides in charity races this week during Stable Staff week and we are proud to support them and recognise the hard work they do. Issy rides at Newbury on Thursday and Kieran rides at Doncaster on Friday – a big thrill for them both I hope and thanks to the owners for supporting them. With Jamie heading for the Legends race at Chepstow in October to try and retain his crown, I’m delighted that three of my team plus Belinda making four, will have ridden in Charity races this year.

I love supporting these races – the horses love it and so do the owners too and it is a big boost for the staff who work so hard. We aren’t the biggest team but I’m proud to be able to support them so well.

Both are still open for sponsorship so please do support them.
