Martin’s Blog 4th July

Monday morning and we are back from a wonderful week in Lanzarote – special family time and, although we still kept in touch and did bits of work it was in the glorious sunshine whilst by the pool! No airport complaints from us either – Bristol Airport was so easy and so was our return trip with Ryanair on time each way and, travelling hand luggage only definitely the way forward – stress free! The team back here, as usual, held the fort superbly and, after a super week it’s great to be back.

Worcester today and just one runner now – Blazing Court in the bumper partnered by current Champion Jockey Brian Hughes who rode him last time. He disappointed us at Kelso on his debut but maybe the long journey didn’t suit – who knows? He’s had a short break and then done plenty since and has pleased me at home. He’s in the much stronger division however so we’d be thrilled if he ran into a place and showed us some of what he does on the gallops here.

More horses back in training and great to get Kazontherazz and Forecast in this morning. More coming in as the days go on and the yard is filling up again.
