Martin’s Blog 30th November

A sunny morning and two runners at Doncaster now become one as Cut and Run is now a non-runner. Big Nasty makes his racecourse debut for the Peel Racing Club headed by our great friend and ex-Trainer Will Kinsey and a fun group of people including his parents Richard and Julie. He’s a huge horse – I doubt we’ve had one anywhere near his size so the ‘Big’ definitely applies however he is anything but nasty! A chaser for the future for sure and anything he does on the way is a bonus. He’s a lovely attitude at home and Will has already ensured he’s well schooled so it won’t be long before he goes jumping.

A quiet day today with most doing just two canters and work morning tomorrow.

Belinda and I had a wonderful evening last night with Neville, Pam and Bella Statham at The Sheep on Sheep Street in Stow on the Wold. So entertaining and I don’t think we spent a moment without laughing so thanks so much to the Statham family for such a brilliant night – a really good catch up where we put the world to rights!
