A good morning schooling with Sean Bowen and James Best both in. We schooled Cloud Formation, Pinnacle Peak, Eclat Des Mottes, Capricia, Reve, Kazontherazz, Ben Buie and Be Thankful. I’ve been busy watering the schooling ground and they were pleased how it was riding. Paul Davis was in to watch.
2nd Lot Victoria Taylor was in with daughter Sophia (who had a ride on Freddie’s racing shetland Blackie) to look at the youngsters and choose which horse she wanted a share in. You may recall she visited on her birthday earlier in the month and husband Carl surprised her with a voucher for a share in a horse here. A brilliant idea and something we can always help with so do get in touch if that sounds like a wonderful idea for a loved one!
Worcester today with two runners. Batsford Stud’s Miss Antipova returns after falling last time at Plumpton. We’ve given her plenty of time to get over that and she’s had lots of schooling at home too. She’s such a likeable mare and we hope she puts that well behind her and runs another good race. James Best rides.
Later on in the card, the last race of the day is the Conditional Jockey’s Handicap Hurdle where we run Cut And Run partnered by Patrick Cowley for our Martin Keighley Racing Club. Lots of members there today and they’ll be hoping that there is no rain as Cut And Run must have decent ground. She’ll have come on for her last run where she did all her best work at the end and, although she is for sale to stay in the yard, we hope she’ll give the Racing Club lots of fun before then. Do get in touch if you are interested in a fun horse for the summer.
Good luck to both horses today.
