Although my car read +5 degrees this morning the wind chill felt like at least -10 according to 7 times Photographer of the Year Ed Whitaker who was here to take photos of Any Currency and the team for the Racing Post. We even persuaded him to take a photo of Freddie & Harry as they left for school World Book Day. Compared to other parents I think Belinda got away lightly with their costumes as Freddie predictably dressed as a jockey and took his new Pony Racing Book ‘Pony Racer’ in to school, and Harry dressed in his Cheltenham Town Football Kit and took a book where he scores the winning goal for England at Wembley!
Michelle Folley and two friends, Mark and Ian, were in to watch Brass Monkey this morning and they were in great form and I can see we are going to have a lot of fun with these three!
One runner tonight at Chelmsford – Whatalove – who is in the 8.25 for J’Adore Racing. She’s ridden again by 7lb claimer Rhiain Ingram and they were unlucky to get beaten last time when they were beaten a neck and a head at Chelmsford last Thursday. A better draw today although a more competitive race but she’s in great form and I’d be disappointed if she didn’t go pretty close tonight.
