Martin’s Blog 29th May

No runners over the weekend but fantastic weather and a chance for me to catch up with the Monaco Grand Prix! When Warren Marston was riding for me his agent Chris Broad & him used to wind me up if I chose not to run horses on a Sunday when there was F1 on thinking I had an ulterior motive for not running!

Last night we went out for supper with yard sponsor Ross Hemming and then onto owner Richard Davies’ Aquavitae as Ross’ Band ‘The Fabulous Groove Garden’ were playing there. It was a fantastic night with great weather and a good time was had by all although we were very sensible and sneaked off relatively early for us!

Fantastic to hear from Chris Dee that son Charlie won another Point to Point yesterday on Creepy at Kingston Blount making it three wins for the season (one under Trainer Claire Hart) and a brilliant early birthday present for Charlie who celebrates his birthday today. Well done to you all.

The first day of half term for the boys and cue the overcast weather after the sunshine we’ve experienced this weekend.

On Thursday this week we host our first ‘Meet The Trainer’ morning where you are very welcome to come and watch the horses on the gallops and, as the name suggests, me me and the team. All you need to do is drop us an email or pick up the phone and we’ll add your name to the list – it starts at 9am.
