Martin’s Blog 29th March

A busy morning organising runners to two different meetings. Chris & Paul Dee have taken Pirate Look & Mick to Wetherby who runs for the syndicate that they are in and their son Charlie runs called The Jack Sparrow Syndicate. He is favourite after his good second place last time on his hurdling debut and it would be fantastic if he could justify that and win for such a great syndicate. My parents are heading there to support too.

I’m heading to Towcester with three mares. Lady Vitesse runs in the first under Harry Stock and is in good form at home. She shouldn’t mind the ground and I’m hoping she will run a solid race for her enthusiastic group of owners. We then have two horses in the last, the bumper. Pomme De Nuit is having her second start and is partnered by Ash Hark, our yard amateur, who deserves his chance as he works hard. She would prefer better ground but needs a run. HRH The Princess Royal’s Chequered View is our other runner and is partnered by Harry Stock who has ridden her before. She will hopefully not mind the ground, although also would prefer it better, and I’m hopeful of another solid run for her before she goes hurdling.
