Martin’s Blog 28th March

We didn’t have any runners this weekend as so many of the horses wind down towards the end of the season but we did have a busy Saturday morning with James Best, Finn Lambert, Patrick Cowley, Warren Marston, Max Kendrick, Harry Stock and Miranda Theobald all in to ride work and also to help get the horses out earlier so the team could finish early on a Saturday.

We worked Debden Bank, Bella Ciao, Sojourn, Finescope, Ben Buie, Blazing Court, Mr Mafia, Ten Past Midnight, Kazontherazz, Brianna Rose, Western Saffire, Samtara, Dreamsundermyfeet and Breizh Alko. We also schooled Windy Cove, Duke of Luckley and Capricia over hurdles.

I was able to rush off and watch youngest son Harry play football for Broadway on Saturday and he scored twice to help his team win 4-1. With only a few games left they are in touching distance of winning the league but they do need to win their next two matches ..no pressure! It’s great to be able to get to watch him as he always plays on a Saturday I do struggle.

One runner tomorrow with Duke of Luckley going to Fontwell tomorrow under Fergus Gregory – more about that tomorrow.

Happy 17th Birthday to Harry Atkins ….. on the road for the first time this morning (in thick fog!) – drive carefully Harry and have a great birthday.
