Martin’s Blog 28th April

A really fun day at Punchestown on Tuesday with some great racing and pretty good company too! Both Belinda & I agreed our liver was relieved we only went for a day and were back home before racing commenced there again on Wednesday!

Delighted to have a surprise visit from Foxy this morning who was looking far better than the last time Belinda saw him as he flew off to hospital in an Air Ambulance. A few weeks at least until he’s back but thrilled to see him looking so well albeit not yet mended. We’ve missed him but we don’t want him to rush back until he’s properly mended.

Southwell tonight with now two runners as Wide To West is now a non runner. Herecomeshogan is our first runner of the evening for The Cotswold Lockdowners and he’s in good form at home and should hopefully run a competitive race. Harry Atkins partners him and also partners She Has Notions who returns after 502 days off the track. Harry rides him a lot at home and we are simply looking for an encouraging run on his return – he’s fit enough to do himself justice but will obviously come on for the run after such a long time off.
