The good news is that Brillare Momento is A1 after her 1st flight mishap at Cheltenham yesterday. We can’t believe the messages we’ve received about her – a popular mare. It appears that she slipped on take off and on landing and I don’t know how she stood up and we are relieved Aidan pulled her up and brought her back in one piece. She’s got an over reach but will be fine.
World War needs softer ground and possibly further too but he jumped well and it was a promising introduction to hurdling. Lord Condi is desperately in need of a holiday so he’ll have his winter holiday now and come back in the spring. He’s done us proud winning his bumper and twice over hurdles and deserved a crack at Cheltenham but it wasn’t to be.
Sadly Mr Mafia was balloted out today and Back on the Lash isn’t 100% sound this morning so is a non runner. We are off racing but, for a rare day without a runner. Some great racing though and lots of friends to catch up with.
Busy here this morning which was great fun with lots braving the cold. Tom Bellamy, Warren Marston, Ollie & Bridie Garner and Harry Greasby all in to ride out. Harry’s father Richard brought some friends to watch on the gallops too. We also had Paul Davis in all morning along with Fi Gamble, Sheila Lindsay, Julie & Richard Kinsey and Gareth Edwards and Lyndsey Lowdon-Edwards all braving the weather.
