Capital Force was so unlucky at Ludlow where he all but fell on landing over the first fence. Rather unfairly it went down as unseated rider but I’m sure there wouldn’t have been anyone that could have stayed on. Thankfully he stopped at the top of the straight by the stables enabling Richard to catch him so, although it was a wasted run, he didn’t have a hard race so can run again soon – he’d have done more at home. Most importantly though both Capital Force and Patrick are unscathed.
Work morning yesterday and we worked Reve, Run A Rig, Ben Buie, Brillare Momento, Dreamsundermyfeet, Anaan, World War, Ten Past Midnight and Raving Bonkers. Most of the rest did a swinging canter but didn’t do fast work.
So much rain although thankfully none this morning here but racecourses struggling and even trickier a time at declarations than usual. We’ve declared two for tomorrow at Ffos Las though – Miss Antipova and Capricia so we will be hoping they cope with the heavy ground in Wales.
