A very busy morning with a team from ITV here in the dark for a full morning of filming on and around the gallops and the yard. They’ve been here twice this week already so knew what they were planning to do and I think the morning seemed to go really smoothly. It’s for the new ITV advert and they took plenty of footage of the horses on the gallops, a bit of schooling on the all weather and Freddie and his pony Arthur too. A frosty hazy morning and when the sun came up it was beautiful and they seemed pleased that they had all the shots they needed.
So watch this space in 2 – 3 weeks – we all can’t wait! Our very own Creepy has also been doing a bit of filming recently and is the horse that features in the new Cheltenham Festival advert. He’s been leased to the Dee Family for the pointing season and Charlie Dee has finished 3rd in a couple of points on him and they have both really enjoyed it. Look out for the advert – it’s great.
Warren Marston and Andrew Tinkler in this morning and one runner at Taunton this afternoon – Johnny Og with Tinks in the saddle. They both get on well and Tinks wasn’t available on Saturday at Cheltenham so that was a main reason that, with today’s race re-opening, I declared him for today. Up against it admittedly but a big prize and worth a shot as he’s in great form.
