Mild this morning and Jo Stainer called in 1st lot and was able to watch the horses canter and Reve and Chequered View both school over hurdles too. 2nd Lot we schooled World War and Hartshorne Abbie. All the rest just cantered today.
We had one runner at Warwick yesterday – Raving Bonkers (Andrew Tinkler) made his debut over hurdles in rather a hot looking novice hurdle and that is exactly what it turned out to be with them breaking the course record! RB jumped very well although was too keen early on but was still just with the leaders turning in before they quickened away from him, as expected, over the last two hurdles. An encouraging debut none the less and happy owners – what more can you ask for!
Ash is on his way back here with another new recruit as we speak. More about him tomorrow.
Jo Stainer mentioned an opportunity for a Box at Cheltenham for two dates this season – Saturday 27th October and Saturday 15th December. It’s a Viewing Box close to the Winning Line at Cheltenham and the price, which sounds very competitive, includes 14 tickets and car passes too. I’m just the messenger though so do please go directly through Jo on 07836319793 or stainer644@btinternet.com I can however vouch for it being a superb box!
Happy 60th Birthday today to owner Paul Townend. I didn’t manage to head over to Copenhagan for his 60th celebrations last weekend as I knew we’d be busy with runners but it looked as if fun was had by all!
