A busy week with Belinda out of the office at the Northern Racing College for the fitness and riding test for her Charity race therefore no-one to type my blog! She’s back and is hoping she’s passed – hopefully we find out today and they don’t make them all wait until after the weekend.
Whatalove was unlucky not to be placed at Brighton on Tuesday as she didn’t have much luck in running late on but it was a solid run and Tom Marquand really liked her. She’s come out of the race well.
Fairmount made his racecourse debut at Southwell on Wednesday evening under Andrew Tinkler and he ran a really solid race to finish 5th just beaten 4 1/2 lengths which was a lovely debut and we were pleased with him.
No runners yesterday but the weather has been lovely all week and we have had plenty of visitors and this morning was no exception with Yard Sponsor Ross Hemming, wife Candice and son Crue in for a catch up.
This evening at Worcester Racecourse we have two runners. Thady Quil is partnered by Andrew Tinkler for the enthusiastic and patient Owners for Owners team. The track should suit and I would like nothing more than for him to run as well as he goes at home and be placed, fingers crossed. Viking Mistress runs for the Martin Keighley Racing Club and is partnered by Champion Jockey Richard Johnson which the Club are all very excited about. She runs in the last race which is a 2m 4f mares’ hurdle tonight and returns after a 55 day absence but runs well when fresh so we are hopeful of a bold run in a competitive looking race.
