Martin’s Blog 26th June

Two runners today at Southwell. Duke of Luckley stepping up in trip in the 2m 4f Handicap Hurdle and he seems in good form and I can’t see any reason why the extra distance won’t suit him. He’s gone up 9lbs for his impressive win last time at Southwell over 2 miles and so he’ll need to step up again to be competitive but I’m happy with him and Sean Bowen gets on well with him.

Big smiles – Jasmin & Duke after his win at Southwell

Ten Past Midnight runs for The Serendipity Syndicate and is also returning from a win last time out. He runs in the 2 mile Handicap Hurdle and also has the assistance of Sean Bowen, who is currently leading the Jockey’s Table at this early stage, in the saddle. The visor is on again but it’s pretty competitive so he needs to be at the top of his game.

One happy owner-breeder! Michael Chitty and Paddy with Ten Past Midnight after his triumph last time out.
