A late night at Newton Abbot and both horses ran solid races without troubling the judge. Gold Mountain returned with quite a nasty gash in a hind leg but he’s ok and was very lucky. He’ll come on again for that run I’m sure.
Mr Mafia is still paying for his winning spree of 4 races in a row last year and we thought he may struggle with so much weight. He’s so genuine though and ran his race once again but needs the Handicapper to relent.
Ffos Las today with two mares – Ollie & Irene Ryan’s dual Cheltenham winning mare Brillare Momento (Aidan Coleman) and The Stock Family’s Finnick Glory (Harry Stock). Hopefully both should have each way chances with Brillare returning after a break. Finnick Glory is too and has been placed in both of her bumpers so far so if she builds on that she should run well again.
Sports Day for the boys and Freddie’s last one at Primary School so good luck to them and thankfully the rain looks to have held off … although if they had postponed I could have gone – I’ve managed to get to most though. There was great excitement at the prospect of Sports Day in the house this morning…..!
