A very busy morning and lots of birthdays too. Birthday boy Paul Davis and Pip were in first lot along with Jon & Jack Hughes, Mark Allen & Kate Docker, Mark Holland, Matt Capp, Joe & Wendy McDonagh, Matthew Baker and Tyrone Hanlon.
We had plenty of extra rider outers in including Deb Butler, Mark Caswell and Harry Greasby and we worked Robsam, Cotswold Prince, Primogeniture, Raving Bonkers, Dreamsundermyfeet, Debden Bank, Pinnacle Peak, Solstice Star, Forecast, World War, Enforcement, Brillare Momento and Betsy Mahler.
Second lot Mary & Lillian Barry were here to see their homebred filly Betsy by Mahler. They were over from Ireland for Cheltenham and got in touch to ask if they could see their filly who we bought from them at the Goffs Ireland Sales last June. It was lovely to see them and they were thrilled to see her and obviously think a lot of her. We like her a lot too and she will be making her debut later in the spring.
Third lot Sam Hoskins was here along with quite a few of his Hot to Trot Racing Syndicate to watch Mello Yello on the gallops. Always great to welcome them to our yard and they all seemed to have a good time.
In addition to Paul Davis, it’s also work rider Harley Cornock’s birthday today and York Charity Race Rider later this year – Abi Stock’s birthday too. A huge happy birthday to them all!
