Martin’s Blog 26th January

A busy work morning with Warren Marston and Tom Bellamy in to ride out. Richard Davies here 2nd lot to watch Spice Girl and Spice Boy work and we also worked Brillare Momento, Madame Fiona, Pomme De Nuit, Mister Valentine, Ballymountain Boy, Morning Herald and Lord Condi.

Tudor Davies and friends here to see Mister Valentine late morning and always fun catching up with any of his owners!

Three runners today. Cup of Ambition and Hartshorne Abbie head to Huntingdon under Andrew Tinkler. Cup has had plenty of schooling since his last run and has been disappointing in truth so needs to show us on the track again what he does at home. Hartshorne Abbie makes her debut for John Abernethy and is a nice filly by Getaway and goes nicely at home so we are hopeful of a nice introduction for her.

Dr Dunraven heads to Doncaster and hasn’t been the easiest to train but is a lovely looking horse with a good attitude too. His debut for us at Uttoxeter last year was very encouraging and we are hopeful he is back in that form. He needs to run well today

Lots of team birthdays today – immediate and extended team! Happy Birthday to Harley Cornock, Julia Mangan (Racing Club Member and mother of Issy) and Abi Stock (sister of Harry and a huge part of our extended team).
