Martin’s Blog 25th September

Work morning and we were greeted by a bit of a frost too so it certainly feels autumnal now and the excitement is building ahead as the jump season starts to get into full flow.

We worked Brillare Momento, Dr Dunraven, Solstice Star, Sarasota Star, Matravers, Oscar World, Cotswold Prince, World War, Chequered View, Ben Buie, Primogeniture, Somewhere To Be, Finnick Glory, Milan Filly, Young Phoenix, Hartshorne Abbie, Reve, Pirate Look, Mr Mafia & Forecast. An exciting work morning with the horses looking and working well.

Farrier Nick Partridge in this morning. A rare day with no visitors this morning but off to Warwick later with Raving Bonkers in the first under Andrew Tinkler for the What In Heavens Partnership. He won his bumper at Towcester last season and has been slightly disappointing since and is still a lightly framed horse, even after his summer holiday and is certainly one who still needs time to fill his frame. However, he’s done plenty of schooling at home and is bred to be better over obstacles and it will be good to get his seasonal and hurdling debut under his belt.

Thank you for your kind messages of support for the whole Stock family after the devastating loss of Chris on Sunday. We’ll obviously continue to pass them on to his wife Zoe and children Abi & Harry and those so far have been much appreciated by them.
