A busy day at Warwick today with four runners. The first runner is Mikimoto making his debut for us and for Harry Redknapp and Karen Salters & Marcus Freer. He won his bumper for Henry Daly last season beating Redbridge Rambler, who we train and has since had a summer holiday and returns to make his hurdling debut. He’s pleased us at home, done plenty of schooling and will hopefully post a solid run under Sean Bowen.
Borderline is our second runner for Mike & Mella Wright under Fergus Gillard. He ran a much improved race last time out and will hopefully build on that again today.
Ben Buie goes today rather than yesterday at Plumpton as today’s going and race should suit him better. He’s got a mind of his own, hates umbrellas so hopefully no sign of rain today but is in good form and it would be no surprise to see him run a blinder if things fall his way.
Our final runner is Pinnacle Peak who won at Worcester last time out under Adam Wedge, beating Sean Bowen into 2nd. Sean is re-united with him today and it would be fabulous if he could follow up that win. It’s competitive but he seems in good form.
Yesterday both Ten Past Midnight and She Has Notions ran at Plumpton, against each other, and were 4th and 5th respectively. Ten Past Midnight may now go over fences as he’s not getting much respite from the Handicapper and She Has Notions thrilled us all putting up his best performance to date.
