Work morning and Andrew Tinkler and Warren Marston in. We worked Cottersrock, Enforcement, Buckle Street, Altesse De Guye, Lord Condi, Spice Girl, Viking Mistress and Bobble Emerald. Most of the others cantered.
Yesterday Solstice Star and Ballymountain Boy returned from their summer holiday and pre-training with Claire Hardwick and both look superb. Exciting to have them back in here.
Two runners on the flat today at Ffos Las. Sporty Yankee (Tom Marquand) hasn’t had life straight forward over hurdles so is having a confidence building run today and will hopefully run well if he stays the trip. He won at Ffos Las over hurdles last season. Miss Condi (Ed Greatrex) is a bit of an unknown and goes ok at home. It will be interesting to see what Ed thinks of her and where he thinks her future lies.
Freddie had a great day at Pony Club Camp yesterday at Cheltenham Racecourse. Such lucky children to have their camp in such a perfect location – the envy of most kids at camps I’m sure! The older children even get to camp overnight in the stable yard however Freddie is a few years off that so daily treks with his pony are required! Harry isn’t on a pony this year but is supporting on the sidelines along with his football – persuading whoever he can to join in a game or two!
