Martin’s Blog 25th July

The mares ran blinders at Newton Abbot with Brianna Rose finishing…yes, you guessed it, 2nd! Midladygrace was returning after a break and ran a solid race to finish 4th so that’s now 12 out of our last 14 runners taking their owners into the winners enclosure which is great as they are winning prize money. Six of those were 2nds so that’s pretty frustrating though! But, horses seem in great form and hopefully soon we’ll be converting 2nds into winners.

Today maybe? Duke of Luckley and Debden Bank head to Southwell which is a track that has been lucky and indeed we are joint 3rd in their Trainer Table with 22 winners and we’d love to add to that today. Duke of Luckley (Sean Bowen) should run a big race but has to be on his A game to beat Swapped who beat Miss Antipova into 2nd recently. Debden Bank returns to hurdles where he is 10lbs lower and also has Harry Atkins 10lb claim to take off too so it all helps. Only 6 runners but it’s competitive.

Good luck Team!
