A sunny morning and we schooled plenty on the grass including Forecast, Mr Mafia, Buckle Street, World War, Back on the Lash, Twentyoneblackjack, Matravers, Cut and Run, Finnick Glory, Mahler 4 year old and Big Nasty. All jumped well.
Physio Hannah Ashton and Vet Jeremy Swan in this morning so a busy morning with both of them. The clippers are out in earnest too so Sam Bishop is busy keeping up with the demand of woolly horses.
I’m off to walk the Course at Cheltenham this afternoon ahead of their Showcase Meeting this weekend where we hold quite a few entries. I think my young Assistant Freddie wants to come too and it will be good to have a thorough walk around both courses – a place I spent quite a few years at when I was a Groundsman there so I know it quite well!
We have a couple of horses declared at Southwell tomorrow plus yard favourite Dr Dunraven off to Doncaster Sales to dissolve a partnership after a fun summer leased to our Racing Club.
Last night we spent an entertaining evening at The Frogmill Inn near Andoversford having supper with James Richardson. The food was absolutely delicious and it was a fun atmosphere too and I thoroughly recommend a visit there.
