Cold this morning and frosty cars but the ground was still good and we were able to work quite a few horses on the grass gallops. A beautiful sunny morning and particularly stunning up on the gallops.
Warren Marston and Mark Caswell were both in and we worked Solstice Star, Dr Dunraven, Brillare Momento, Spice Girl, Cut and Run, Oscar World, Cup of Ambition, Sporty Yankee, Weyburn, Getaway filly, Young Phoenix, Mister Valentine, Madame Fiona, My Lad Percy, Twentyoneblackjack, Cul De Poule, Lord Condi, Viking Mistress, Lady Vitesse, Chequered View, Pomme De Nuit and Fairmount. Most of the others just cantered on the carpet or up the grass.
Yesterday Belinda and Jon Hughes had a very worthwhile meeting with Matthew Hurley from Jockey Club Racecourses based at Cheltenham Racecourse. It was good to meet Matthew again – the last time we met was just after Bobble Emerald had completed the double for us on Cheltenham’s opening day for the season in October prompting wild Team Keighley celebrations!
No runners today but we run Ocean Eleven at Wolverhampton tomorrow evening. We also have a pretty busy morning on the gallops here tomorrow with lots of visitors so let’s hope it is a similar beautiful morning tomorrow!
