Belinda and I had a lovely day at Royal Ascot yesterday. As we got to the train at Moreton we met Tom and Amy Hayman-Joyce and William & Camilla Haines (Mother of RA winning Trainer Richard Spencer) and so we were ensured a jolly journey! We met them for the return trip too which was equally fun.
Great to catch up with friends and very lucky to join Chris & Joanne Massey in their very smart Chalet in the middle of the course just past the Winning Post. A perfect spot to watch the Royal Procession, the racing and a really fun group of people as always so thanks to Chris & Jo.
Mark Caswell in to ride out this morning and he worked Ask Alice upsides Belinda on Buckle Street and they worked well. All the rest just cantered up. Mark Holland in second lot to watch Spice Girl on the gallops. She is thriving since her win at Stratford a fortnight ago and I’ll look to run her again in a couple of weeks.
Neville Statham and his family dropped in as they were passing in late morning to have a look at Sporty Yankee out in the field and have a catch up and obviously watch the replay of Buckle Street & Belinda in action last Saturday!
No runners today but the work on the improvements on the yard continues and lots to do!
