Martin’s Blog 23rd March

Newbury today with two horses in the Goffs UK Spring Sales Bumper and they are half brothers too.

Ben Buie ran a blinder on his racecourse debut at Ascot to finish 2nd to a nice horse but got stuck in the ground on his second start so we are hoping to put a line through that. He’s by Presenting so prefers better ground.

Dreamsundermyfeet is by Yeats – both out of Change of Plan – and he is making his racecourse debut which we appreciate is throwing him in at the deep end a bit! He’s a lovely stamp of a horse and has pleased me at home and in a racecourse gallop but whatever he achieves today will be a bonus as he’s a horse for the future.

I like them both a lot although appreciate it looks a very competitive race especially with Noel Fehily having his final ride before he retires on the Harry Fry short priced favourite. He’ll be hard to beat and we wish him well for the future.
