Gordon Bendall, Paul Davis and David Bishop all in this morning to watch the horses on the gallops and have a catch up with us and the team and a glorious morning they chose too. The horses only doing one canter but no better place to be on a gorgeous day than on the top of our gallops! Ernesta is on holiday but came in to ride her beloved Debden Bank 2nd lot who was having his first canter since winning on Sunday. She was also out on the gallops with her camera 1st lot (is there no end to her talents?!) and took some fantastic photos of the team – here is one of those:
Last night, after school, Freddie & Harry had an evening they’ll never forget thanks to David Parry who very generously invited them to join himself and his son Max and 19,996 others at Wembley Stadium to watch England vs Czech Republic – what lucky boys!

Belinda and I had a really fun night too. We’d planned to drop them at Wembley and go for supper somewhere however fortunately Matt Capp, one of the winning owners of Dreamsundermyfeet who won at Southwell on Monday, lives just a few stops on the Tube away from Wembley and kindly invited us to spend the evening with him and his family. A weight off our shoulders too as Matt accompanied us to Wembley to deliver the boys and later on the return trip to collect them ensuring none of us got lost! A brilliant night – the boys had the best time and so did we – almost worth the trip purely for the delicious takeaway curry! Needless to say we toasted Matt’s first win as an owner and re-lived Dreamer’s annihilation of his opponents on Monday. We weren’t back until nearly 1 am but the boys slept most of the way home and I’m sure their excitement has overcome their exhaustion today! Awesome night.

The Meagher Family’s Kazontherazz is our only runner today at Worcester in the last – a full card remembering the late Liam Treadwell so an emotional day for so many but so touching that Worcester have chosen to celebrate his life there today and wonderful that Mon Mome, who Liam won The Grand National on, is parading. One of Liam’s great mates, James Best, rides Kaz and the combination have been unlucky not to win a bumper, finishing 2nd on the last two occasions. Today is her hurdling debut and she’s done plenty of schooling at home and seems in good order. She’s a half sister to Back On The Lash and Pinnacle Peak who have both won already this season and hopefully it won’t be long before she’s in the Winners’ Enclosure herself too.
