Martin’s Blog 21st September

Blustery here this morning but plenty of rain overnight which ensured we could school over hurdles as the ground on our schooling ground is very good. We are fortunate enough to have our own reservoir therefore we can regularly water and we managed to spike it before it rained yesterday too.

We schooled Reve (Ash), Lord Condi (Paddy), Twentyoneblackjack (Kieran), Raving Bonkers (Alfie), Brillare Momento (Ash), Chequered View (Paddy) and Hartshorne Abbie (Alfie). They jumped very well and really pleased me. We are so lucky to have so many lads in the yard that are able to school them too.

David Bishop was here late morning – David owns Bobble Emerald and his wife Janne was a fantastic help on Owners’ Day ensuring we had enough food and everyone was fed. There are one of our longest standing owners and David’s first visit to the yard he recalls Belinda mucking out watched by Freddie in a pushchair aged about 6 months old! How things have changed!

Happy Birthday today to owner Keith Salisbury!
