Stratford today with Steve Sugden’s First Angel making his debut for us under Adam Wedge. He’s only been here for a few weeks but seems to have settled in well and looks a picture and we look forward to an afternoon at our most local small track which is always very friendly.
Mike & Mella Wright were in to watch their horses on the gallops as was Michael Chitty so it was great to catch up with them all. We don’t have quite as many owners visiting at this time of year but they are always welcome and there is something quite relaxing and also exciting about wandering around the horses in their fields on their holidays. So much planning to do and chatting about the future and all those dreams ahead!
At the end of Mental Health Awareness Week this morning’s Luck on Sunday was a fabulous watch – do try and watch it on catch up if you can. We are so very fortunate to have Racing Welfare and all their support here in Racing. Such a wonderful charity and both Ernie and Sian are riding in charity races to raise money for this vital cause. Ernie is racing at Chepstow on Monday 26th June and Sian is riding at Nottingham on 29th June (unless there is a withdrawal from Chepstow or Newbury 27th June as those trips would suit better) so please support them and, in doing so support this great charity. Sponsor Sian HERE and Ernie HERE.
