Martin’s Blog 21st December

A busy morning with Matthew Baker and John Gent in to watch their horses and Freddie had some of his pony club friends up to go up the gallops with him too – they had lots of fun.

Towcester today and Somewhere To Be runs under new ownership. He won last time for his then owner and breeder Zara Tindall and thankfully when Zara decided to sell him, we managed to keep him in the yard. He’s a horse I’ve always liked a lot and jumped for fun when he won on his fencing debut last time at Lingfield. It would be fantastic if he could follow up today.

Twentyoneblackjack runs for new owners Mike and Mella Wright and makes his debut over hurdles. He’s a nice big horse but is a horse for the future and anything he achieves over hurdles will be a bonus as he’s a chaser through and through.

Hectic with Christmas nearly upon us and a few friends around for a drinks party last night where we were fantastically fed by Samantha Wallin and her Cotswold Canapes. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
