Martin’s Blog 20th September

A busy few days since Owners’ Day with a Finance Meeting on Tuesday and this morning we were greeted with heavy rain – much needed but not much fun to work in. Hot sausage rolls & doughnuts for the team mid morning and much deserved. Just a steady canter day today on our circular carpet loop near the yard.

We really appreciate all the lovely messages following our Owners’ Day that continue to come in. We all enjoyed putting it on to thank everyone for their support of us throughout the year and are already working on how we can make next year’s Owners’ Day even better.

No runners this week so far but maybe some at Plumpton on Sunday. Not long until the season properly gets going and the runners become more frequent again.

We are hosting a Pony Racing Training Day here on Sunday with some of the jockeys of the future no doubt learning their trade. Hopefully they will have an informative day and go away with the certificate they require to Pony Race in 2019. Great to be able to encourage the next generation.
